Shannon J. Posner is an experienced real estate attorney and regularly represents financial institutions and commercial landlords in real estate related disputes.  In addition, Mr. Posner has represented title insurance companies in several disputes that ultimately led to litigation against parties to the real estate transactions.

Mr. Posner graduated cum laude from Towson University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science in political science and a minor in geography.  In 2000, Shannon graduated magna cum laude from the University of Baltimore - School of Law.  Immediately after graduating from law school in 2000, Mr. Posner worked for a small law firm in Baltimore and began representing creditors in bankruptcy and other creditors' rights matters.  In November 2001, Shannon joined the law firm of Gebhardt & Smith LLP.  Throughout his four years with Gebhardt & Smith LLP, Mr. Posner represented, among others, lenders, commercial landlords, title companies and surety companies in commercial litigation, bankruptcy and creditors' rights matters.  Shannon honed his legal skills at Gebhardt & Smith LLP through July 2005 and is ready to assist you with closing your real estate transaction in Maryland, the District of Columbia or Virginia.
